  • Training is an entry-level position responsible for supporting various HR-related training-related activities and tasks under general supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities for the
Role:
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment (with a focus on specialty
  • i.
e., training) Take steps to ensure a positive training experience by organizing and coordinating training sessions, reserving space for training, ensures that audiovisual equipment is available and operating, distributing materials such as handouts and quizzes, and handling other similar details and tasks. (i.e., Coordinates the onboarding training, continual training, professional development training, etc.) Assist with developing training strategies, establish priorities, and metrics to ensure alignment with business needs. Participates in the effort for Training and other Corporate Human Resources Projects in conjunction with internal stakeholders (i.e., Actively participates in training projects or initiatives with businesses/functions.) Maintains organizational assets such as employee training records and training information systems that are physical and electronic. (i.e., Maintenance includes compiling reports, creating/scanning electronic training files, creating/maintaining physical training files, self-auditing training records, etc.) Processes training forms (i.e., records of attendance for training classes/courses, successful completion of training, gap analysis, position change forms, etc.) Maintain consistent communication and delivery of training with stakeholders (i.e., trainees, quality, trainees' managers, course instructors, etc.) Participate in developing training program goals, objectives, and systems with defined timeframes (i.e., Develop or assist with the development of and maintain a company-wide training calendar, initial required training, refresher training schedules, etc.) Researches and examines training products, reviews samples, demonstration, website content, and suggests additions or enhancements of training catalog to direct manager. Education/Experience Requirements for the
HR Specialist:
Required
  • Associate's degree and zero to three (0 to 3) years of equivalent work experience Must be able to adapt to multiple indoor work environments (shared office space, shared lab space and production areas).
Preferable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for the
Role:
Associate's degree and three (3+) years of equivalent Poly-Med, Inc. work experience OR Bachelor's degree and one to three (1 to 3) years of equivalent work experience such as a training/teaching certification (APTD/ Associate Professional in Talent Development, CPTD/ Certified Professional in Talent Development, CDA/ Child Development Associate, etc.) Working Conditions at Poly-Med, Inc.: At Poly-Med, Inc., the safety and health of every employee are of the utmost importance. The use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection devices (ear plugs or earmuffs), and gloves may be required in various working areas.
Physical Requirements:
Employees are regularly required to talk and hear and are frequently required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Employees are frequently required to walk with occasional requirements to climb stairs; use of hands for gross manipulation, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
