Job Description

Are you the go-to problem solver on the plant floor? If you thrive on keeping complex plastics equipment humming, this role is for you. You'll be the hands-on expert ensuring our blow molding and injection assets run safely, efficiently, and continuously. You will Own uptime for blow molding and injection machines—diagnose hydraulic/pneumatic issues and restore performance fast. Maintain extruders, screws, barrels, die heads, clamps, molds, and tooling to tight quality standards.
Keep auxiliary gear reliable:
conveyors, loaders, dryers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, vacuum pumps.
Support downstream systems:
trimmers, leak testers, and integrated automation. Execute quick, accurate mold changeovers, startups, and line changeovers. Collaborate on process optimization to reduce scrap and unplanned downtime. Electrical and controls—your toolbox Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, and basic robotics. Pinpoint electrical faults involving 480V circuits, motors, sensors, relays, and control panels. Complete wiring, panel remediation, and instrumentation work to plant standards. Reliability mindset Perform scheduled PMs and predictive checks with rigor. Log work, parts, and condition data in CMMS to drive decisions. Recommend and implement corrective actions for chronic issues. Help refine PM procedures tailored to blow molding equipment. Safety and quality first Follow OSHA, LOTO, and site safety rules at all times. Keep work areas clean and organized; champion 5S, Kaizen, and TPM. Participate in audits/inspections and help close gaps. You have High school diploma or GED (tech degree/certification a plus). 3+ years in maintenance within plastic blow molding or a similar manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting across hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of 480V electrical, motors, and controls. Experience with PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent; comfortable with HMIs and VFDs. Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs. Skilled with hand and power tools. Willing to work overtime, weekends, or on-call when operations demand it.
