Job Description

Overview Position Overview Under the direct supervision of Packaging Supervisor/Team Leads, this position is responsible for operating the filler and other related machinery as well as performing filler changeover functions. Directly responsible for ensuring no foreign product mixes with current product being packaged. Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities Machine Operation & Efficiency Safely and proficiently start up filler machines and bring them to operational status as quickly as possible. Operate filler machines to ensure correct product count by observing slats and filling any empty slots. Continuously monitor slats to remove wedged or broken products and maintain proper flow. Examine filler hoppers to ensure no foreign objects are present. Replace and adjust manifolds, slats, and brushes as needed. Verify bottles are properly aligned and positioned under manifolds. Check bottles from each setup for proper pill count and quality. Clean filler components and prepare slats and manifolds for washing. Data & Documentation Record downtime data, including downtime codes and order numbers, in the Ignition program to ensure data reliability. Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation. Read and interpret work orders to verify product specifications and ensure accuracy. Packaging & Line Support Assist with all bottle packaging line equipment, including the labeler, bottle hopper, capper, and bundler. Assemble cartons, apply labels to cartons and shippers, and verify accuracy against the work order. Pack finished products while ensuring proper lot numbers, labels, caps, neck bands, and other quality criteria. Perform product rework as needed and confirm all components are correct. Cleaning & Housekeeping Clean tooling, machinery, and conveyors after each run, including hoses, brushes, vibrators, and catch pans. Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash. Follow GMP and FDA requirements for gowning, hygiene, and cleanliness. Teamwork & Training Assist in training and mentoring new employees. Crosstrain and support other departments as needed to meet production goals. Work collaboratively to improve process reliability and minimize downtime. Safety & Compliance Promptly report any safety concerns, accidents, or injuries to a supervisor. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, SOPs, safety regulations, GMP, and FDA requirements. General Responsibilities Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation. Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications The Candidate Education, Experience, and Licenses:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 3 to 6 months of operator experience or previous experience working in a regulated environment (cGMP or FDA) preferre Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Strong work ethic, professional approach and ownership of line production performance. Ability to read and comprehend SOP's, Batch Records and training documents Basic computer knowledge. Ability to understand basic math Strong work ethics, positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills are a requirement. Team player; works well with others. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Job requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Perform repetitive tasks.
