Job Description

Summary/Purpose This position is responsible for the evaluation, development, and effectiveness of
Technical Production Associates:
Production Department Setup, Setup Operators, Team Leaders (TL), Kaizen Leaders (KL), and Technicians. This position will give direct floor support by guiding responsible associates using the EDGE method and OJT, resolving production problems as they occur.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Develop schedules to continually assess the skill level of each Technical Production Associate as it relates to mechanical repair and troubleshooting across all shifts. From assessments, understand the performance gaps and technical improvement requirements. With support from the Training Administrator, maintain evaluation records that reflecting each Technical Production Associate's capabilities. Develop training materials with the help of the Training Administrator. Facilitate training programs, engaging resources from all departments to fulfill gap requirements. Develop troubleshooting guides on equipment to improve Technical Production Associates' effectiveness. Assist the Technical Production Associates in solving complex machine breakdowns when required and document repair procedures to capture lessons learned training materials. Communicate with Group Leaders and Chief Leaders on the progress of the Technical Production Associates' training progress, gaps, and short fallings. Give management direct feedback for evaluation and pay progressions. Assist in solving manufacturing issues as required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires a proven and evaluated mastery of all production area equipment. Some computer knowledge and experience is required. (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, digital camera and pictures) This person will perform in a manufacturing environment and should have the ability to communicate and work effectively with people of differing backgrounds. This position may require infrequent travel both domestic and internationally as needed.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 10 years' experience as a
Technical Production Associate Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work is mostly performed in a production type setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with some time spent working a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity for mechanical operation. The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, and mandatory hearing protection. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in a safe and controlled manner. Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 1-5% of the time. Employee may perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
