Your impact Cold press powdered metal diamond segments to exact specifications for downstream blade/bit manufacturing. Keep operations compliant, safe, and efficient while meeting production targets.
Core responsibilities Prepare tooling:
measure height and verify parallelism; assemble die parts in the cold press. Set up and fine‑tune machine parameters; remove and inspect dies at changeover or completion. Organize and select the proper tooling for each work order; maintain familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation. Clean equipment to ready it for subsequent orders. Perform in‑process quality checks using a micrometer (height, length, thickness) and confirm weight with a precision electronic balance. Document quality checks and order completion details; collaborate with Quality Control on inspection techniques and standards. Follow company policies to ensure compliance with EPA/environmental requirements and OSHA Safety and Health Regulations throughout the cold pressing process.
Schedule Second shift:
Monday-Friday, 2:30-11:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and some Saturdays. Qualifications Previous experience preferred. Strong basic math ability. Working knowledge of industrial math and the metric system; exposure to diamond tool design elements is helpful. Proficiency with micrometers and precision balances. Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.; occasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.
