Visually inspect the extruded product for appearance and size defects according to specificationsConduct recurrent tests/inspections of products' functional featuresNotify appropriate personnel (Production Associate 3s and 4s, Manufacturing Shift Supervisor) of product defectsAssemble bundles for packagingEnsure proper packing patterns, product counts, and package enclosuresEnsure that all parts and pieces are in there place in all box programsSquare, band, heat seal and label the packed bundlesThe associate can set up and operate

RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Associate visually inspects extruded products for consistent appearance and length according to defined standards. Production Associate ensures product consistency and standards including but not limited to proper counts, packing patterns, packing enclosures, and carton construction and labels. PAs pack finished products into bundles. Associate routes, cuts, sores, and boxes products in accordance with B.O.M.'s. Production Associate maintains paperwork as required. Fabrication Department Equipment:
Routers, CMM Gang saw, Tiger Saw, Heat tunnel, notchers, and CrimpersDiscard unacceptable profiles in Scrap RackIdentify a product that is jammed up in the production line and assist as necessaryIdentify that line is going down and assist as necessaryAssist with color and product die changesPerform line shut down tasksCommunicate with previous and following shifts' Production Associates about product quality, problems, and status of work in progressPerform housekeeping duties as neededComplete accurately and legibly all line packaging-related paperworkIdentify product not being routed or cut to spec in accordance with the line check sheetIdentify product out of spec and able to repackage in proper patterns, color, and countPunch time clock before and after shift to record time workedObserve health and safety practices when handling start-ups/shutdown stripsPerform other related duties and assignments as requiredMaintain supplies at the workstationCommunicate with Material Handler(s) to move full bundlesAssist with training of temporaries and new hires in Production Associate 1 positionsMust be able to read draft drawingsMust be able to read tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and radius gagesFloat to relieve other Production Associate 1s for breaksAttend weekly shift meetings and monthly All Hands Forum, if requiredActively participate in all plant safety programsNotify Supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functionsAssist with production equipment maintenanceIdentify and be able to lend a hand to associates in need of helpMaintain work zones' cleanliness and safetyWork with Production Associate 2 on optimizing workflow in the fabrication departmentQualifications6 months or more Production/Manufacturing experience requiredMust be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties requireMust possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendanceMust be quality and safety conscious, a team player Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistMust have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periodsMust have good communication skills and be able to interact with peoplePosition requires extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking. Position requires working in a non-climate-controlled facilityPosition requires wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, use of a tape measure, sawing glove, hack saw, packing gloves, stamp and stamp padSafe work performance is required from each Associate at all timesPerform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditionsComply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulationsAdditionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's performance appraisalTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyPlease provide a current resume or complete work historyAdditional InformationAddress:
