At Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems (IMCS), you'll work closely across multiple departments and experience broader aspects of the business. Our products address the growing needs of clinical and research laboratories through advanced technologies that increase testing efficiency. IMCS products help to pave the way for the future of precision medicine by integrating with existing automation systems to generate data with high quality. Job Summary:
Biomanufacturing Associate I is an entry level position in the Operations team and is the starting point to acquiring skills and training required for recombinant protein production. The candidate is expected to follow detailed instructions and established procedures with frequent supervision. This position reports to the Biomanufacturing Supervisor. Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
  • Perform basic downstream protein purification procedures according to detailed instructions and adherence to good documentation practices (GDPs)
  • Perform basic upstream bioreactor procedures according to detailed instructions with hands-on set-up, cleaning and reagent preparations
  • Accurately follow procedures using Batch Records and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform general laboratory and equipment cleaning, disposal of waste according to established procedures, and compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards
  • Participate in aseptic filling and sterile operations
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures by abiding strict safety procedures and safety checks.
  • Maintain an organized and clean working environment
  • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications (knowledge AND experience):
  • High School Diploma
  • Attention to detail in performing routine tasks with demonstrated record of proactively identifying safety, quality and deviations from detailed procedures
  • Must be resourceful and self-motivated. Preferred Qualifications (knowledge OR experience):
  • Prior experience in research laboratory or industrial laboratory setting
  • Prior experience with document control and protocol adherence
  • Utilization of basic laboratory equipment such as balance, centrifuge, pipette, chemical hood
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals, concentration calculations, protein chemistry
  • Understanding of aseptic procedures
  • Prior work experience in Biotech industry is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this position.
