Production Machine Operator

Job Summary Operation of Manual Metalworking machinery that includes press brake, saw, grinders, etc. to cut, bend and smooth steel fabricated components. Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude required. Blueprint reading skills a plus. Prior metalworking, construction or mechanical trade experience helpful. Fast paced environment that includes constant standing and moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Position is first shift (6am-4:30pm) and must be able to work overtime. Competitive starting pay of $20 per hour with a $2 per hour production incentive after training period and have achieved production goal. Responsibilities Operate and maintain production machinery, including electrical discharge machining and laser cutting equipment. Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product specifications are met. Fabricate components from sheet metal using lathes and other tooling equipment. Perform welding tasks as required to assemble parts and components. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions. Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining, laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, lathe operation, and tooling processes. Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations. Ability to read blueprints effectively. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
