Production Associate

Job Title:

Production Associate Job Description You will prepare, finish, and handle metal parts using hand and power tools, ensure parts meet blueprint specifications, and assist across production areas to keep the paint line and fabrication operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Work primarily within the deburr, powder coat, and finishing departments on 2nd shift. Use hand tools and small power tools to safely remove burrs and create edge breaks on metal parts. Inspect part dimensions to ensure they adhere to blueprint specifications and identify any quality issues. Read and interpret blueprints to verify part configuration meets requirements. Use measuring equipment such as gauges, scales, calipers, and similar tools to verify part accuracy. Pretreat, clean, mask, prime, and powder coat a variety of parts as needed. Load parts correctly onto the paint line to maximize line capacity and efficiency. Apply plugs and tape to parts as required for paint preparation and masking. Assist with sanding, grinding, and deburring steel components and materials. Use a grinder to prep materials that will be welded. Perform manual material handling, including heavy lifting and moving materials within the facility. Assist as a machine helper in the machining department, including helping with machine setups and loading/unloading materials and finished products. Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. Maintain housekeeping and general area upkeep to ensure a clean and organized work area. Remain on your feet throughout the shift performing various production and labor-intensive tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
