Manufacturing Associate

FIRST SHIFT SCHEDULE ONLY - MONDAY TO THURSDAY WITH SOME FRIDAYS. ABOUT US

We're a family-owned, aluminum extrusion manufacturing company located in Summerville, SC. We extrude, fabricate, anodize and powder coat aluminum parts for customers in a variety of industries. We've been in business for 72 years and are committed to taking care of our team members, our customers and our community!

DUTIES:

The duties for this position include: Operating hand and power tools to cut, notch, punch and drill aluminum extrusions. Setting and up and operating a saw to cut aluminum components. Loading, unloading, racking, transporting aluminum into and out of the department. Operating a forklift to transport materials in and around the plant. Working with other team members to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining high quality standards. Maintaining a clean and organized work area; and following applicable safety guidelines. Performing other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

To be qualified for this position, a candidate: Must have, at least, 6-months experience as a machine operator in an industrial and/or manufacturing setting. Must be able to work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and some Fridays from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Must have experience safely operating a forklift. Must possess basic, computer, math and people skills and have a good attention to detail. Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, which include: working in a non-climate-controlled environment, walking, standing, bending, twisting and lifting between 30 and 50 pounds throughout the day. Must be able to successfully complete the required pre-employment drug screening.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
