Full-time Full-time PURPOSE:

The Body Shop Parts Production assistant verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Inventory, store, and disperse parts and/or materials as needed by the technicians. Communicate with Production Manager and related staff regarding tasks necessary to aid with shop productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records. Affix shipping labels on packed cartons, or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications. Inspect, inventory, or disperse incoming shipments of parts/materials. Gather parts from inventory for technicians. Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process. Assist Detail Department in times of need. Run vehicles/parts to outside vendors. Occasional customer or coworker transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Experience in an automotive repair field preferred. Professional personal appearance. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
