(US) Operational Trainee We are a leading developer and manufacturer of mechanical and electronic locking systems as well as car access and authorization systems for the global automotive industry. We are launching our Operational Trainee Program, designed to attract and develop the next generation of shopfloor leaders. This is not just a job — it is a structured career path starting at the production line and leading into Hancho (shopfloor leadership) and beyond. Your Role This is not a traditional entry-level position. You will be developed step by step into a shopfloor leader within the Huf Production System (HPS) Start your journey as a production operator, learning the process hands-on Develop deep understanding of our production systems, quality, and material flow Participate in TPS-based training (Toyota Production System) and daily shopfloor routines Support and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen, problem-solving, standard work) Rotate through different production areas to build full process understanding Progress into Hancho-level responsibilities (team coordination, stability, problem-solving) Grow based on performance into further operational or technical leadership roles Your Skills Completed high school, technical training, or early career stage Interest in manufacturing, production, and real problem solving Motivation to learn and grow in a structured development program Hands-on mentality — willing to work directly on the shopfloor Discipline, reliability, and ownership mindset Strong teamwork and willingness to support others Curiosity to understand how things work — and how to improve them No prior TPS experience required-but learning mindset is non-negotiable What we offer A clear and structured career path in manufacturing — not just a job Long-term stability in a global, family-owned company Hands-on training in the Toyota Production System (TPS) Development into shopfloor leadership (Hancho) and beyond Mentoring and coaching by experienced leaders Competitive pay with performance bonus potential Full comprehensive health insurance, dental, vision, flexible spending account Disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Huf celebrates diversity, supports inclusiveness and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
