General Production Worker's Needed in Kingston Springs $20/hr 3rd Shift! Job Description This entry-level General Production Worker role supports manufacturing operations by handling pallets, preparing loads for printing, and operating production equipment in a fast-paced environment. The position involves routine material handling, basic equipment care, and adherence to safety and quality standards while working a rotating 3-2-2-3 shift schedule. Responsibilities Replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets and aerate loads prior to printing, according to the production schedule. Operate general production and assembly equipment safely and efficiently. Use basic measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure products meet specifications. Read and follow written work instructions, procedures, and basic blueprints as required. Perform occasional preventative maintenance on equipment as directed. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues by early detection, including recognizing abnormal sounds or irregular machine operation. Use power tools and hand tools to support mechanical assembly and production tasks. Inspect materials and finished products for quality, reporting any defects or issues promptly. Handle pallets weighing approximately 40-52 pounds and frequently lift or carry items weighing 10-25 pounds. Regularly stand for extended periods and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently reach with hands and arms and occasionally walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to complete tasks. Follow all safety guidelines, housekeeping standards, and production procedures to maintain a clean and safe work area. Essential Skills Ability to replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets and properly aerate loads prior to printing based on the production schedule. Ability to perform basic machine operation and general production tasks in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform occasional preventative maintenance on equipment, including basic diagnosis and troubleshooting by recognizing changes in machine sounds or performance. Ability to read and use basic measurement tools accurately. Ability to read and follow proper work instructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to frequently lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds and safely handle pallets weighing 40-52 pounds. Ability to regularly stand for long periods and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and occasionally walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Mechanically inclined with comfort using power tools and equipment. Basic inspection skills to identify quality issues in materials and finished products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly, machine operation, or general production is helpful but not required for this entry-level role. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and power tool use in a production environment. Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or diagrams is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingston Springs, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
