Job Description

Position Summary Champion Promotion is seeking a hands-on Embroidery Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our embroidery department. This is a working manager position responsible for coordinating production schedules, leading department personnel, maintaining quality standards, and operating embroidery equipment as needed. The ideal candidate is an organized production leader who can balance team management with hands-on production responsibilities while ensuring orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Production Management Plan, prioritize, and manage the daily embroidery production schedule. Conduct daily production meetings with department staff to review workload, priorities, and deadlines. Coordinate workflow based on due dates, sew times, product availability, and staffing levels. Monitor production progress and proactively address scheduling, quality, or equipment issues. Work closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Management to ensure timely order completion. Ensure all orders meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Leadership & Team Development Lead, train, coach, and support embroidery department personnel. Assign work and monitor employee productivity and performance. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members. Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment. Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and departmental standards. Hands-On Production Operate multi-head commercial embroidery machines as needed. Read and interpret work orders to determine embroidery placement, thread colors, and production requirements. Locate and load digitized embroidery files. Set up hoops, garments, thread colors, and machine settings. Troubleshoot production issues and assist operators when needed. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Department Operations Monitor department efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement. Manage inventory of threads, backing, supplies, and production materials. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services when necessary. Track production metrics and communicate department performance to management. Qualifications Required Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, apparel, sewing, printing, or related environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn production software. Preferred Experience operating commercial embroidery equipment. Experience with multi-head embroidery machines. Knowledge of embroidery digitizing software and embroidery production processes. Experience in the decorated apparel, promotional products, uniform, or textile industry. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with embroidery production.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
