Job Description
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the ability to work occasional weekends as needed This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. In this role, the Laboratory Assistant will: Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), processing directives, production standards, policies, health and safety directives and regulations Maintain flexibility for working hours as IVF processes are time-dependent; may include some weekend work in extreme needs Support embryologists with all aspects of IVF processes as directed by the Senior Embryologists Assist with andrology procedures such as IUI preparation and semen analysis, as well as assist with shipping and receiving of frozen specimens Assist with maintaining integrity of media, collection, and semen processing data Record and communicate oocyte collection, and maintain embryo production data records Maintain accurate labeling and traceability of media and embryo production Assist with lab maintenance; sanitize working areas and equipment; follow production inventory and LN2 management protocols; maintain processing equipment, glassware and plastic dishes and processing areas Support patient care by answering and directing phone calls, organizing and scheduling appointments, organizing and coordinating meetings, and maintaining filing systems Perform general office duties and all other tasks as requested by physicians, director and embryologists What You'll Bring We're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:
High School Diploma required Bachelors degree in a Life Science focus area preferred Prior laboratory experience preferred Ability to work independently Excellent multi-tasking abilities, communication and organizational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team Good research skills Tech savvy Flexibility and willingness to learn at all times More important than any single credential, however, is the right person .
