Our Production team is the backbone of what we do. We produce millions of regulated documents every year, and we take that responsibility seriously. This is not a warehouse job. You will learn a skilled trade, operate industrial-grade print equipment, and become an expert in compliance document production. We invest in the people who do this work, and we promote from within. Your Path at Newcourse We are looking for people who want to build a career, not just find a job. Here is how your growth looks from day one: 1. Print Operator — you start here 2. Sr. Print Operator — mastery & specialization 3. Lead Operator — own the floor 4. Production Supervisor — lead the team Advancement is tied to skill, performance, and leadership. Most of our Lead Operators and Supervisors started exactly where you will. What You Will Do As a Print Operator, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-volume production print equipment in a regulated environment. Accuracy, data integrity, and compliance are non-negotiable on every run. Daily Responsibilities Operate, configure, and monitor digital production print systems, including Canon digital print systems, Xerox production print platforms, and other print production equipment. Perform full print job setup for each production run, including job ticket review, file validation, material validation, and system alignment prior to initiating the job. Ensure all print output meets quality control standards for alignment, image clarity, color accuracy, data integrity, barcodes, and mail-readability marks. Load and unload print stock correctly across all stock types — paper rolls and cut sheets while assisting with inventory records. Monitor printer performance, job progress, and system logs via smart display systems; alert leadership promptly to defects, interruptions, or quality variances. Conduct and assist with routine equipment care and preventive maintenance as needed and safely clearing jams per established procedures. Maintain strict compliance with all data handling, security, and quality control standards across production operations, including SOC 2 guidelines (as applicable to your shift and job type), PHI and PII handling policies, and physical security and audit process standards. Stage and prepare printed materials for downstream processing, including handoff to automated inserters for mail fulfillment. Maintain accurate production records, machine activity logs, and issue escalation reports; complete all shift documentation at the close of each run. Follow documented SOPs and communicate job status, quality concerns, and escalations to your Lead Operator or Supervisor in real time. As You Advance Train and mentor newer operators on equipment setup, job ticket review, and quality procedures Take ownership of specific equipment or production areas Assist Lead Operators with scheduling, QC reviews, and escalations Participate in process improvement and equipment efficiency initiatives
Cross-Training Opportunity:
Print + Inserting Newcourse Production runs end-to-end. Documents are printed, finished, inserted, and mailed under one roof. That means operators who understand both the print side and the inserting side are exceptionally valuable to our team and to their own careers. We actively develop cross-trained operators. If you come in as a Print Operator and demonstrate strong performance, you will have the opportunity to train on our inserting equipment as well. Cross-trained operators are prioritized for Lead Operator roles because they can manage the full production workflow, cover across lines, and mentor the whole team. What You Bring Print and mail production is preferred but not required. We will train and coach the right person. What we do need from day one: Required High school diploma or GED Reliable, on-time, and ready to work when your shift starts Hungry for an opportunity and willing to prove yourself Willing to jump in and help without being asked Attention to detail and pride in doing the job right, every single run Comfortable standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in an active production environment Ability to follow written procedures and multi-step instructions Basic computer literacy and comfortable with technology A Strong Plus Prior experience in print, mail, manufacturing, or warehouse production Experience operating any kind of machinery or production equipment Familiarity with Canon or Xerox production print platforms Exposure to
