Production Team Lead

Production Team Lead Pay Rate:

$18.75 - $20.75/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Team Lead to oversee daily production operations within a fast-paced laundry production facility. This role is responsible for leading, training, supervising, and supporting production employees while ensuring operational efficiency, quality standards, and workplace safety are consistently maintained. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work directly alongside employees throughout the shift. This position requires hands-on leadership in a production environment involving industrial laundry equipment, linen processing, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and supervise production employees during assigned shifts Plan and coordinate daily production schedules and workflow Train employees on production procedures, equipment operation, safety standards, and quality expectations Monitor productivity and ensure production goals are achieved efficiently Assist in evaluating employee performance and providing ongoing feedback and support Maintain accurate production and operational documentation Support operational continuity and assist in the absence of the Supervisor Promote a safe, positive, and team-oriented work environment Work directly alongside production employees while operating equipment and supporting workflow Ensure employees comply with visual quality standards when processing linen Monitor safe and proper operation of washers, dryers, extractors, and other laundry equipment Assist with process improvement and troubleshooting production issues as needed

Qualifications:

Prior supervisory or team lead experience required High School Diploma or GED required Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to learn and adapt to various production processes Must be able to read and write in English Experience in commercial or institutional laundry operations preferred Experience operating industrial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, extractors, and washroom systems is a plus Manufacturing, warehouse, or factory production experience preferred

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to stand for extended periods of time, including 2-3 hours continuously while operating equipment Ability to push and pull laundry carts throughout the shift Manual dexterity to perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining production rates Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance Ability to handle heavy loads with or without assistance Must be comfortable working in hot and damp environments Ability to safely operate various types of laundry production equipment Ability to work non-standard hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
