Hours:
Monday - Friday with occasional weekends Reports to: The position reports to the department supervisor or lead person.Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Grinder operator is to grind and mix meat daily according to the standard operating procedures (SOP) in his/her area as needed. Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Assembly and disassembly of meat processing machines daily
- Assist other grinding team members in opening boxes of meat and putting them on the table to be ground.
- Responsible for running and monitoring the machines to make sure the machine does not malfunction, and the meat is ground to the right consistency and blend
- Measure the required ingredients for each batch as necessary
- Abide by OSHA standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA guidelines and internal quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area according to SSOP's.
- Accurately complete and maintain records as required.
- Be conscientious and alert to the effectiveness of the safe operations by self and other grinding team members and make recommendations as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
Training in the grinding area is required for this position. The training will consist of the complete process-from opening boxes of meat through final grinding and monitoring of the blends.- Ability to work as a team with employees and other supervisors.

- Minimum education preferred is high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be certified to operate a pallet jack (Certification provided by employer)
