WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Light Hill Meats is looking for a motivated, dependable Culinary Production Specialist with a kitchen background. We are seeking someone with experience as a cook, chef, or in food production who takes pride in quality, works with purpose, and wants to be part of a growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, understands recipe execution and production flow, and values consistency, cleanliness, and craftsmanship. We are looking for someone who can help create excellent products, support daily production, and serve customers with professionalism and care. At Light Hill Meats, we believe great food starts with great people. We are not a big box store, and we do not want our team members to feel like just another number. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with food production and product preparation Preparing recipes with consistency, accuracy, and attention to quality Creating, scaling, and calculating recipes accurately Helping develop products with efficiency, consistency, and flavor in mind Assisting customers in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the workspace Working as part of a team to deliver high-quality products to customers Food production can be everything from uncooked sides to smoked meats or pre cooked meals.
Preferred qualifications:

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
You might start your morning loading the smoker before the shop opens or prepping production, spend midday helping customers select the right cuts and talking through preparation, then close out the afternoon calculating batch yields and prepping for tomorrow's production run. The work is hands-on, varied, and never meaningless. You will see the direct result of what you do every single day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparing and smoking meats or other products to company standards with consistency and care
  • Supporting daily food production and product preparation
  • Creating, scaling, and calculating recipes — including ingredient usage, batch yields, and production formulas
  • Helping develop products with quality and efficiency in mind
  • Assisting customers in a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional manner
  • Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the workspace
  • Working as part of a team to keep daily workflow running smoothly
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Hands-on experience in food preparation and/ or smoking meats
  • Background in food production, food handling, or a related environment
  • Ability to create recipes and accurately calculate ingredient usage and batch yields
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right the first time
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting
  • Dependable, honest, and genuinely team-oriented — someone others can count on
POSITION DETAILS
Full-time position with real room to grow within the company. Schedule runs Monday through Saturday with one weekday off. Compensation details listed in the posting.
