  • Responsible for complying with food safety, food defense, quality, safety, GMP's, HAACP, allergen control, and sanitation as well as other regulations as required
  • Feeding the raw materials into the machinery, responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications (sensory, weight, screens, metal detection, codes, labels)
  • Monitor the production process, ensure that all company policies and requirements are met and that all batches are completed within the necessary time frame to meet production needs
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner
  • To be responsible for ensuring that "right first time" Quality is always a priority and that quality is never compromised
  • Accurate packaging of high value ingredients to tight tolerance standards (weight, label, code, seal)
  • Operating the production machinery as required, such as lifting equipment, conveyors, augers, coders, sealers, tapers, etc.
  • Assembling, packing, labeling, stacking, and wrapping finished goods in line with specification for eventual shipment
  • Maintains sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift. Responsible for sanitation of all line equipment following the appropriate process as determined by flavor characteristics and cleaning matrix
  • Removes empty bags and bins from area to outside storage, recycling and dumpster area
  • Follows the facility's food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results Responsible for notifying a person with the authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issue
  • Reports all non-compliance, product protection and food safety issues to management when encountered
  • Ensuring that the department adheres to the strictest levels of hygiene and cleanliness and adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations
  • Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining machines used in production, noting any machine faults and reporting them immediately to maintenance as required. Acts as backup for another operator as needed
  • Maintains work areas and equipment, representing the company in a positive manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Pay:
$14.50 - $18.00 per hour
