Job Description
We're growing—and we're looking for someone who can own the flow of our custom and repair department and bring hands-on production skills in casting and 3D printing. If you love turning ideas into finished jewelry and keeping operations running like a machine… this role is for you. Studio Coordination & Workflow Open/close the store and safes (as scheduled) Manage all custom + repair jobs from intake to completion Distribute daily tasks to jewelers and production team Track timelines and ensure jobs stay on schedule Communicate with clients on status, timelines, and expectations Handle invoicing, apply payments, and maintain accurate job records Open, organize, and distribute incoming packages Coordinate outgoing shipments (FedEx, etc.) Source stones, parts, and materials Quality Control Review CAD designs, prints, and completed pieces Inspect repairs before and after work Catch issues before the client ever sees them Ensure every job meets Dr. Gold standards Casting Knowledge required Prepare wax trees and sprues (gold, silver, platinum) Operate casting equipment (vacuum/centrifugal) Perform flask burnout and metal pours Measure and mix alloys correctly by karat Clean and prep castings for finishing Identify and fix casting issues (porosity, incomplete fill, cracking) Maintain casting equipment and inventory 3D Printing & CAD Collaboration Operate resin/wax printers (Formlabs, Asiga, etc.) Print CAD models (MatrixGold, Rhino, ZBrush, etc.) Handle post-processing, curing, and prep for casting Work with CAD designers to ensure accuracy Troubleshoot printer and file issues Team & Production Collaboration Work closely with CAD, setters, and polishers Keep production flowing smoothly across departments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace What We're Looking For Highly organized and detail-obsessed Strong communicator (clients + team) Able to manage multiple jobs without dropping the ball Hands-on and comfortable in a production environment Problem solver who takes ownership Experience 2+ years in jewelry casting (lost-wax preferred) 1+ year with 3D printing for jewelry models Experience with CAD/CAM (MatrixGold, Rhino, ZBrush, etc.) Understanding of metallurgy and karat conversions
