Event Production & Media Support Assistant This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across creative media, event production, and digital content.
The position combines elements of:
Video editing and organization Projection and audio setup Canva-based design work Website updates (Wix) Social media support Live event technical assistance The ideal candidate is dependable under pressure, comfortable solving technical problems quickly, and excited to help shape the audience experience of an independent arts event. Position Overview This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across creative media, event production, and digital content.
The position combines elements of:
Video editing and organization Projection and audio setup Canva-based design work Website updates (Wix) Social media support Live event technical assistance The ideal candidate is dependable under pressure, comfortable solving technical problems quickly, and excited to help shape the audience experience of an independent arts event. ResponsibilitiesFestival Media & Presentation Prepare and organize screening video files for multiple festival blocks Create and update intermission graphics, sponsor slides, and awards visuals Assist in creating short promotional videos and looping visual content Help prepare filmmaker introduction materials and showcase assets Organize media playback systems for festival presentations Technical/Event Support Set up and operate projectors, screens, audio systems, and playback equipment Help coordinate A/V needs for the main screening room Assist with a secondary "shorts room" featuring continuous looping content Troubleshoot playback, audio, or projection issues during rehearsals and event days Coordinate file formatting and compatibility for screenings Design & Marketing Support Update and maintain portions of the festival website Create social graphics, sponsor images, and promotional content in Canva Assist with social media scheduling and promotional posting Help maintain visual consistency across festival branding materials Preferred Qualifications Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut, etc.) Familiarity with Canva and basic graphic layout/design Experience with Wix/Canva website editing Basic understanding of projectors, speakers, audio mixers, and HDMI/video routing Comfortable managing digital media files and organization Social media familiarity (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) Interest in film, live events, or independent arts communities Calm under pressure and highly organized Bonus Skills (Not Required) Photography or videography experience Motion graphics or animation Livestream or OBS experience Experience working film festivals, concerts, theater, or live events Knowledge of audio editing or sound mixing

Up to $500.00 per day
