Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Materials Coordination & Communication Serve as the primary liaison between the Production Office and Work Program craft studio supervisors regarding raw material needs Receive, track, and organize raw material requests across multiple studios Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding order status, timelines, and substitutions Support alignment between production schedules and material availability Purchasing & Vendor Support Execute purchasing of raw materials based on approved requests and production needs Monitor vendor availability, backorders, and discontinued items Troubleshoot material challenges by identifying alternatives in partnership with the Production Manager Assist in maintaining positive and organized vendor relationships Inventory Visibility & Studio Support Maintain visibility into raw material inventory levels across craft studios Conduct routine inventory checks and identify low or missing materials Proactively communicate restocking needs to prevent production delays Support organization and accessibility of materials within studio environments Material Distribution & Flow Coordinate and deliver raw materials from the warehouse to craft studios accurately and efficiently Ensure all materials delivered match requests and production needs Support a consistent and reliable flow of materials to minimize disruptions Cost Tracking & Continuous Improvement Monitor raw material pricing and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities Support sourcing of alternative vendors or materials when appropriate Update raw material costs on process forms and internal documentation Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in material tracking and workflow efficiencyKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Material Availability & Reliability Timely and accurate fulfillment of raw material requests Reduction in production delays related to material shortages Inventory Accuracy & Organization Visibility and accuracy of material levels across studios Organization and accessibility of materials within workspaces Communication & Coordination Responsiveness to studio needs and material requests Effectiveness of communication across Production, Warehouse, and Work Program Cost Awareness & Efficiency Accuracy of material cost tracking Identification of pricing improvements or alternative sourcing opportunitiesMISSION ALIGNMENT
