Through demand from our valued customers, we have grown our product offerings to include flatbeds, service bodies, crane trucks and the associated accessories to complement the needs of many different industries. At Axton, we have dedicated representatives for dealerships, leasing companies and fleets, which allow us to best understand the needs of each specific upfit type. For our dealership customers, we have multiple chassis-pool lines available to supplement your on-lot inventory. Through years of experience, industry connections and extensive vendor partnerships, we have the capabilities to work with a single unit or large volume fleet.
General Description:
Preperation of truck chassis and truck bodies to assist performace of installation bays as well as cleaning up finished jobs that come out of production.
Position Expectations:
Add value through quality upfitting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare truck chassis for body installation Prepare truck bodies for installation onto truck, including installation of add on accessories. Clean truck and body on production is finished with work. Willingness to work appropriate hours needed to complete the job Adaptable and flexible Able to take directions, follow the Axton process, and accept corrections Ability to work respectfully with all departments and be a part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in industries associated with truck equipment and or similar industries. MIG welding in multiple positions using proper PPE. Use of forklift to offload truck beds/bodies and install onto truck frame. Knowledge of 12 volt systems to include but not limited to lighting, trailer plugs, truck light accessories etc. Fabrication experience is a plus
Shop Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM -3:00 PM. Lunch is 1 hour standard.
Education Requirement:
GED, High School and or any trade school degree is a plus.

$15.00 - $17.50 per hour
