We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. We are hiring an experienced Pre-Press Plate Maker for our Dallas, TX manufacturing facility on 2nd shift (2:30pm
  • 10:30pm).
Job Summary Under general supervision, the Pre-Press Plate Maker is responsible for producing high-quality printing plates using digital and conventional platemaking equipment. This role also supports production by coordinating order documentation and preparing job jackets for scheduled work. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Operate digital and conventional platemaking equipment and processors. Produce, inspect, and verify plates to ensure quality standards. Compare plates to proofs/impositions and label accurately. Organize, stage, and route plates per production schedules. Coordinate and print order jackets for scheduled jobs. Maintain accurate production records and job tracking. Test, calibrate, and adjust plate exposures for consistency. Coordinate plate remakes to support production needs. Read and interpret specifications, layouts, and press schedules. Ensure compliance with environmental standards for inks and waste. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Collaborate effectively in a team environment. Work overtime as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Pay & Work Schedule Hourly Pay Range :
$20
  • 24, depending on experience + 2nd shift premium 2nd shift premium $1.25/hr / 2:30pm
  • 10:30pm Training may be required on 1st shift / 6:30am
  • 2:30pm
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday; Saturdays as business dictate.
Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational, technical, or business training preferred, or equivalent work experience. 7-10 years of relevant experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret specifications, layouts, and production documentation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess plate quality, including screen values and tone perception. Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, measurements, and metric conversions. Ability to follow written instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in plate making or pre-press operations. Experience with pallet jacks or material handling equipment. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration Must wear required PPE, including hearing protection and safety shoes. Work environment may involve high noise levels; hearing protection is required. Regular physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds with or without assistance.
