3:30PM - 2:30AM Monday through Friday (Will be trained in day shift for 1 month) Position Summary The Tablet Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tablet compression equipment to produce high-quality products in accordance with approved formulas, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and compliance with company, regulatory, and safety standards. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to workplace safety procedures, proper equipment operation, and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Production Operations Set up, calibrate, and operate tablet press machinery according to batch production instructions. Follow batch production records to manufacture tablets that meet established quality standards. Monitor tablet quality throughout the production process, including weight, hardness, thickness, appearance, and consistency. Accurately complete all required production documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Properly identify, label, and handle all materials and finished products. Quality & Compliance Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work environment through proper cleaning and sanitization of tablet presses and production rooms. Conduct visual and sensory evaluations of products, including color, shape, and odor. Ensure all production activities comply with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements. Safety Maintain a constant focus on workplace safety and compliance. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns. Properly operate material handling equipment, including hand trucks and barrel carts. Equipment Maintenance Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting. Properly use, clean, and care for production equipment and tools. Utilize measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, and hardness testers with precision and accuracy. Qualifications Required Skills Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, procedures, and production documents in English. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Working knowledge of calculators, scales, and measuring devices. Good mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand tools. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food production, or similar production experience preferred. Experience operating manufacturing equipment or working with mechanical tools such as wrenches, pliers, hammers, and related equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and move materials weighing up to 200 pounds using appropriate equipment. Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods, up to four hours at a time. Frequently reach, lift, and stack products weighing between 5 and 15 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills when operating testing and measuring equipment. Ability to work with close visual detail and accurately read measurements and production documentation.
