Operate and monitor the coating line and when the Machine Operator is not available. Lead the cross-training for all positions on the coating line. Ensure a consistent and quality product is produced. Responsible for the quantity and quality of the product produced and is the senior position on the coating line when the Machine Operator is unavailable. Fill in for any vacant position which is the result of vacations, call-ins, etc. Create motivating and inspiring work environment. Troubleshoot technical issues, collect and analyze data to solve problems swiftly. Ensure 5S and housekeeping processes are satisfied to comply with ISO food safety standards. Ensure all safety, environmental, quality and production processes are followed in accordance with ISO standards Lead the shift in safety audits to ensure the plant is safe from hazards or potential hazards. Ensure all production employees are performing their tasks safely according to published run schedules and their respective job descriptions. Oversee equipment and coater operations to ensure all tasks are being performed in a manner that is consistent with the current operating processes. Ensure all finished rolls are labeled, marked and entered into the computer correctly. Fill in reports and daily logs at the MO Log. Note the time and reason for any trouble and the time production started and ended. Ensure the coating line is set-up properly with respect to historical data prior to each run. Minimize paper and coating waste on the line. Ensure shutdown and cleanup at the end of each shift is performed properly. Cleanliness of equipment and plant floor. Manage daily inventory of consumables. Follow all safety policies and safe work practices. Report unsafe acts and near misses immediately. Positions Qualifications High school diploma or GED Analytical skills and desire to learn new equipment and applications Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to lead, motivate and mentor others Effective interpersonal skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Excellent analytical skills Able to make decisions under pressure Critical-thinking skills to reach running objectives Good judgement when making decisions for the operation
