Join Prysmian, the world's top wire and cable manufacturer. In 2024, we strengthened our North American footprint by acquiring McKinney-based Encore Wire. With about 9,000 employees in North America and 33,000 globally, we produce underground and underwater power transmission cables, medium- and low-voltage solutions for construction and infrastructure, plus optical fiber, copper cable, and connectivity that carry telecom voice, video, and data. Your mission Drive quality excellence on the production floor by cutting scrap, improving material utilization, and increasing throughput. You will troubleshoot product and process issues and partner with operations to keep process controls aligned with standard requirements. How you will make an impact Perform accurate inspections on machines and finished products, on timeComplete hourly quality reports with clear, reliable dataVerify critical dimensions and monitor material usage to support cost reductionIdentify, segregate, and eliminate non-conforming productMeet production goals without compromising qualityHandle other related duties as assignedWork safely and comply with OSHA regulations Where you will work Non-temperature-controlled areas with frequent exposure to very hot or cold conditions Primarily indoor industrial setting; occasional outdoor tasks Consistent exposure to loud noise What you bring High school diploma or GED Ability to read and write in English Industrial or manufacturing experience is required Exceptional attention to detail Comfort standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods Able to lift at least 25 pounds The details that matter Starting pay: 20 dollars per hour
