Production Associate / Crane Operator (1st Shift) Job Description This role supports a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility that produces small metal parts for vehicles using large stamping presses, welding stations, and production lines. You will operate production equipment, handle materials, perform quality checks, and assist with crane operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The position requires a hands-on, "no job is too small" mindset and the flexibility to support multiple areas, including machine operation, material handling, and quality auditing as needed. Work Environment This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces automotive metal components using large stamping presses, welding stations, and production lines. Team members stand on their feet for 8-10 hour shifts and work at individual stations while remaining closely connected to a broader production team. The environment involves regular material handling, including pushing carts, moving coils, and operating equipment such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks, lathes, and grinding machines. Shifts are structured without rotation, offering predictable schedules across day and night shifts. The facility emphasizes safety, teamwork, and communication, with frequent interaction among production, quality, and shipping teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $19.00/hr.
