A Production Associate is a skilled professional responsible for creating intricate designs using embroidery machines, screen printers and heat presses.
Production Associate Job Description Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Maintenance :
Set up and operate embroidery machines to apply designs onto various fabrics. Regularly perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning and troubleshooting, to ensure optimal machine performance.
Quality Control :
Inspect finished embroidery work to ensure it meets quality standards, including correct stitch density, color accuracy, and alignment. Identify and correct any defects or errors in the embroidery.
Material Selection & Inventory Management :
Choose appropriate threads, fabrics, and stabilizers for each project. Maintain inventory of materials and notify leadership to reorder supplies as necessary.
Production Planning :
Plan and schedule embroidery work to ensure timely completion of projects. Coordinate with other team members or departments involved in the production process.
Safety Compliance :
Follow safety guidelines when operating embroidery machines and handling embroidery tools. Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Inventory Management :
Assist by by tracking fabric and supplies used in production.
Qualifications & Skills Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in textile design or related fields is a plus.
Experience :
1 year of experience operating production equipment is required. Screen printing or heat press experience is prefered.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in using embroidery machines and design software. Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance.
Artistic Ability :
Strong eye for detail and creativity to interpret and execute design concepts.
Communication Skills :
Effective communication with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
Work Environment & Schedule Setting :
Working in a temperature controlled environment.
Hours :
This a full time position working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Holiday's, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
Physical Demands :
The role involves repetitive tasks, including sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods, and manual dexterity for operating machines. Must be able to lift 35lbs.
