Full Job Description Shift:
4:00 PM-12:30 AM shift Purpose and Scope of Position The Compounder will ensure timely delivery of accurate, high quality product batches for production. The compounder will ensure and maintain department cleanliness, GMP compliance, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Ensure GMP/FDA standards are being followed. Confirm batches are manufactured to specifications. Keep accurate inventory of ingredients. Maintain documentation required for GMP's. Maintain area cleanliness. Follow Environmental, Health and Safety policies, Company policies, Good Manufacturing Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures through company training sessions and/or compounding meetings. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environments are through weekly compounding audits. Attend appropriate meetings. Maintain accurate and legible information on batch sheets, formulas, housekeeping logs, and any other documents assigned. Learn how to utilize mixers, blenders, and dispenser machines properly and safely. Weigh and measure raw materials to the designated amount stated on the batch ticket. Adaptability to shift or hour changes. Additional duties as assigned. Required Experience 1 year in a compounding/manufacturing environment. 1 year of experience with GMP, FDA, Department of Health, safety trainings. Essential Skills GMPFDA knowledge. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing. Preferred Experience Compounding or Lab experience. Familiar with GMP. Language Requirements Must be able to read and write fluently in English. Education and Training Requirements High school diploma/GED. Mathematic skills. Lean knowledge. Previous compounding/batching experience. Previous supervisor duties. GMP Physical Demands Ability to alternate between sitting and standing. Ability to stand for 8 hours. Ability to walk for 8 hours. Ability to use a step ladder for 6 to 8 hours. Ability to perform fine manipulation such as picking or pinching for 6 to 8 hours. Ability to perform gross manipulation such as holding, grasping, and turning for 8 hours. Ability to lift and carry 60-75+ pounds for 4 to 6 hours. Near visual acuity, ability to perform quality checks and read fine prints for 8 hours. Ability to push or pull 60-75+ pounds for 6 to 8 hours. Ability to reach above the shoulder with 60 pounds on occasion. Ability to stoop or bending for 4 to 6 hours. Ability to crouch or kneel for 4 to 6 hours. Ability to drive a fork lift. Ability to utilize a pallet jack. Ability to operate a barrel dolly. Work Environment Working within a production and laboratory setting. The laboratory environment requires GMP compliance such as a hairnet, beard net for any facial hair, lab coat, long pants, and closed toed shoes. Facial piercings must be removable. Occasionally loud environment when multiple machines are running. Alternating temperatures when machines are running and depending if the bay doors are open.
