Production Control Team Member / Swing Shift West Jordan, UT Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Manufacturing company experience Technical Proficiency Cross-functional communication Full Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Production Control Team Member to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work closely with the production control team to coordinate and monitor production activities, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and completion of production schedules. This position is critical for maintaining on-time delivery and high-quality production, requiring strong organizational skills and effective communication. ____________________________________________
Shift:
10:00 am to 8:30 pm Monday - Thursday Swing shift pay begins at 3:30 PM. Currently, the shift differential is $3.00 per hour worked; however, this differential does not apply toward overtime calculations or PTO hours. Please note that the shift differential rate may be adjusted at the company's discretion at any time. ____________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demands and production goals. Track workinprogress (WIP) status, updating schedules and reports to ensure accurate, up-to-date production information. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and production teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components needed for scheduled jobs. Monitor stock levels and reorder points for production materials, communicating any shortages or delays to the production control supervisor. Update ERP or scheduling systems with real-time production data to keep all departments aligned. Collaborate with quality control to verify that products meet specifications and resolve any quality-related issues impacting production schedules. Prepare and distribute daily production status reports, including output, delays, and any changes in production requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements for streamlining production control processes. Maintain clear and organized records for production schedules, materials, and other related data. _____________________________________
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or relevant coursework in Manufacturing, Production Management, or related field is a plus. 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a scheduling, planning, or support role. Familiarity with ERP or scheduling software and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordination across various departments. Ability to troubleshoot and address production delays or material shortages. Basic understanding of production processes and inventory management. ____________________________________
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with production planning or control in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement practices.
