Fabrication Specialist

Position Overview:

The Moore's Electrical and Mechanical VDC/OSC department offers comprehensive MEP fabrication and prefabrication services for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across Virginia and North Carolina. As a Fabrication Specialist, you play a crucial role in the prefabrication process, specializing in the manufacturing and assembly of pipes for commercial and industrial applications.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent Fabrication experience with a concentration in MIG welding carbon plate, angle and tube Working knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes Proficient with metal fabrication tools including, but not limited to drill press, metal brake and shear, iron worker, plasma cutter, grinder, sanders, polishers, etc. Strong mathematical and mechanical skills Working knowledge of Microsoft programs Extensive understanding of all construction project paperwork to include drawings, specs, etc. Self-motivated with the ability to work individually with a teamwork mindset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; works well with individuals at all levels of the business Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task Highly analytical and detail-oriented Lifting as much as 85 pounds

Preferred:

2-year technical diploma Forklift operating experience/license Willing to work a weekend shift
