Ice Cream Production Assistant

Our ice cream has built a loyal following at farmers markets, festivals, and private events with our truck and cart services. The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Ice Cream Production Assistant to help produce our signature small-batch ice cream. This role involves assisting with the preparation, mixing, batching, and packaging of our ice cream products, ensuring every pint and scoop meets the high standards Authors is known for. If you take pride in craftsmanship, are comfortable working behind the scenes, and enjoy being part of a hands-on production process, this could be the perfect fit! Responsibilities Assist in preparing ice cream bases and inclusions according to precise recipes. Operate and clean equipment such as batch freezers, mixers, and packaging tools. Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients with accuracy. Portion and package finished ice cream for shop and wholesale orders. Label and organize products for storage. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production space at all times. Assist with inventory rotation and supply restocking. Follow all health, safety, and quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food production, culinary, or a kitchen environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures accurately. Comfortable working on your feet, lifting up to 40 lbs as needed, and operating kitchen equipment. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
