We believe in working hard, helping one another, and producing work we can be proud of. We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Wood Shop Assistant to join our team. Position Overview The Wood Shop Assistant provides hands-on support to our woodworking and production team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing quality work, and is interested in learning a skilled trade. No previous woodworking experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Assist wood shop team members with daily production activities Prepare, move, and organize materials needed for projects Sand, clean, and prepare wood products for assembly and finishing Assist with the production and assembly of custom doors and millwork products Package and prepare completed products for delivery or pickup Load, unload, and organize materials, supplies, and inventory Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate basic shop tools and equipment after training Follow company quality standards and safety procedures Support team members with various shop and production tasks as needed What We're Looking For Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently Good problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move materials up to 100lbs at a time and stand for up to 8 hours a day Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, assembly, delivery, or other hands-on work is helpful but not required Why Join Our Team?
