Job Description
Job Purpose and Impact The General Production position will perform routine and repetitive physical production and warehouse responsibilities following established policies and procedures with frequent guidance. In this role, you will support production operations while following all food safety and regulatory policies as required. This position operates within a production environment, which can be hot, cold, wet, and/or humid at times. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, use stairs, work at varied heights, work around moving mechanical equipment, and consistently follow safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Accountabilities Handle and/or place turkey products on the production line according to direct instructions, product specifications, and/or production schedules Use a knife or other tools to trim, cut, or prepare turkey meat products Accurately weigh, label, bag, pack, and/or box finished product, utilizing tools or equipment as necessary Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations Maintain a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship Must be 18 years or older Preferred Qualifications Meat, poultry, or production processing experience Pitman Farms is an equal opportunity employer
