Contract-to-Hire Pay:
Starting at $30/hour, based on experience Role Summary We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support production and design efforts within a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication setting. This role works closely with internal teams and customers to develop practical, efficient manufacturing solutions and ensure smooth project execution from design through production. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design knowledge who is interested in gaining deeper exposure to fabrication processes and CNC-driven manufacturing. Primary Responsibilities Create and maintain engineering drawings and production documentation for sheet metal parts and assemblies Assist with programming and setup of CNC fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, turret punches, press brakes, and panel bending systems Review product designs and recommend improvements to support manufacturability and cost efficiency Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refine designs for fabrication processesIdentify and help resolve production-related issues with practical engineering solutions Communicate with stakeholders regarding design updates, technical details, and project progress Manage drawing revisions and engineering change documentation Participate in continuous improvement efforts across production operations Maintain organization and prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldStrong math skills, including geometry and measurement concepts Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical abilities Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Experience Background in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environments Exposure to CNC equipment or CNC programming concepts Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles Experience collaborating directly with customers on engineering projects Knowledge of document control and revision processes What Were Looking For Interest in learning advanced manufacturing technologies Team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to think creatively and solve practical engineering challenges Commitment to producing quality work and supporting production goals What Youll Gain Hands-on experience with modern fabrication equipment and processes Opportunity to contribute in a high-volume manufacturing setting Collaborative and supportive work environment Potential for long-term employment following contract period
