Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST)Compensation:
Starting at $25+/hour depending on experience We are seeking a skilled CNC Programming professional with sheet metal fabrication experience to support production and manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This position focuses on CAD/CAM programming, process optimization, tooling selection, blueprint interpretation, and production support for precision sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of CNC punch press and laser programming, experience working with fabrication drawings and layouts, and the ability to improve manufacturing efficiency through effective programming and tooling strategies. Core Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain CNC programs and revision-controlled production files Interpret engineering drawings and technical blueprints to create flat pattern layouts and production-ready programs Support manufacturing by reverse engineering existing parts when needed Select appropriate machines, tooling, materials, and fabrication methods for efficient production Coordinate tooling design and assist with procurement requests as necessary Prepare setup documentation, standardized work instructions, and production guidelines Utilize CAD/CAM software to improve programming efficiency and reduce production cycle times Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to support continuous improvement initiatives Equipment Environment Experience with the following equipment is highly valued: CNC fiber laser systems CNC turret punch presses Combination punch/laser machines Precision sheet metal fabrication equipment Software Experience Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: SolidWorks CAMWorks SigmaNEST or comparable nesting software TekSoft Sheet metal CAD/CAM programming platforms Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication Experience programming CNC punch press equipment required CNC laser programming experience preferred Strong understanding of fabrication methods, tooling, bend deductions, and precision manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical plans, and production specifications Working knowledge of G-code programming, editing, and troubleshooting Strong math and problem-solving abilities, including geometry and dimensional calculations Mechanical aptitude with the ability to improve manufacturing processes efficiently Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management Preferred Background Engineering or manufacturing-related experience Experience supporting high-volume or custom fabrication environments Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced production setting What's Offered Competitive starting pay with opportunity for higher compensation based on experience Full-time opportunity with long-term potential Stable first-shift schedule Collaborative manufacturing environment with growth opportunities We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
