Job Description
Dover Food Retail is hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and material movement within our manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong inventory control experience, forklift skills, and excellent attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for cycle counting, inventory auditing, material handling, maintaining inventory locations, and supporting production flow throughout the plant. ## Responsibilities
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and part shortages
- Assist with physical inventories and corrective action processes
- Maintain, establish, and organize inventory locations throughout the facility
- Ensure all materials are properly identified, stored, and tracked
- Unload incoming freight and move materials to production lines
- Transfer materials between departments and staging areas
- Move finished goods to shipping docks and assist with outgoing freight
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe inventory and warehouse areas
- Support shipping, receiving, and other warehouse functions as needed
- Perform additional duties assigned by leadership ## Qualifications ###
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of inventory control or inventory auditing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift license required
- Strong experience with cycle counting and inventory accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good math, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED ###
Preferred:
- AS400 experience
- Forklift certification
- Experience working with manufacturing parts and products ## What We're Looking For
