Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role supports a manufacturing production environment by preparing parts and surfaces for paint and protective coatings, including cleaning, masking, staging, and packaging components. The position follows a Friday-Monday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the flexibility to perform multiple tasks as production needs change. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces of machines, manufactured products, and work areas for the application of paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, lacquer, or other protective or decorative materials. Clean parts and work areas to ensure surfaces are free of contaminants prior to coating or painting. Mask parts accurately to protect designated areas from paint or other coatings according to specifications. Stage parts and materials in the correct sequence and location to support efficient production and painting processes. Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations. Package finished parts and products carefully to prevent damage during handling and shipment. Wash parts as needed to meet production and quality standards. Lift, move, and handle materials and parts weighing up to 25 pounds safely and consistently. Follow written and verbal work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements. Maintain good attendance and arrive on time for all scheduled shifts. Work flexibly across multiple jobs or stations based on production demands. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and manufacturing standards. Essential Skills Experience working in a production environment. Ability to prepare surfaces for paint and other coatings, including cleaning, masking, and staging parts. Capability to perform general production and general labor tasks. Experience with masking parts for paint or coating applications. Experience with packaging and packing parts or products. Ability to wash parts in accordance with production processes. Ability to lift and handle up to 25 pounds safely. Consistently good attendance and reliability. Flexibility to perform multiple jobs within the production area. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate masking, packaging, and surface preparation. Familiarity with working under ITAR-related requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working in a structured production setting with defined processes and standards. Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality guidelines. Willingness to learn additional production tasks and support different areas as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing environment focused on production and finishing of parts and products. Work involves standing, moving, and handling materials throughout the shift, including lifting up to 25 pounds. The schedule is a four-day workweek, Friday through Monday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment includes typical manufacturing conditions such as machinery, production lines, and areas designated for cleaning, masking, washing, and packaging parts. Employees follow standard safety procedures and use appropriate equipment and protective measures as required for a production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
