  • Part-time We're looking for a dedicated, skilled craft designer to join our team one day per week as a Part-Time Graphic Design & Letterpress Production Assistant.
This hands-on role blends traditional letterpress printing with modern graphic design, web design elements, project planning, production setup, and scheduling — essentially acting as a shop assistant in a creative studio environment. If you love the tactile world of letterpress, have a strong design eye, and want to work in a focused, low-volume shop setting with real growth potential, this could be a great fit. As the business grows, there will be opportunities to increase hours and take on more responsibility for the right person. Key Responsibilities Set up, projects, and materials for production runs for digital and letterpress Create and refine graphic design layouts for print projects Handle some web design updates and digital asset creation and photography Assist with project design, client coordination, and production workflows Manage production setup, scheduling, and shop organization Perform general studio assistance and keep the workspace clean and efficient Ensure all work meets high-quality craft standards Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional experience in craft design, graphic design, letterpress, or a closely related field Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Basic web design knowledge SHOPIFY (HTML/CSS, WordPress, or similar) is a plus Experience with production setup, scheduling, and project management Reliable, dedicated, and able to work independently in a small-team/shop environment Passion for hands-on craft work and traditional printing techniques Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods during press work What We Offer Competitive pay at $34/hour Flexible 1-day-per-week schedule (day can be negotiated to fit your availability) Opportunity to work with beautiful, tactile letterpress processes and creative projects Room to grow as the studio expands Supportive, creative environment focused on quality craft Employee discount Submissions shall be made through Indeed only.
