Production Worker - Full-Time |
Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Location:
Tacoma, Wa Pay:
26.40 Join a high-volume manufacturing team producing concrete-based building products and house siding used across the construction industry. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role where you'll operate machinery, handle raw materials, and support multiple departments to keep production running safely and efficiently. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in tough environments, this is a solid long-term opportunity. What You'll Do Perform general labor tasks including material handling, clean-up, and support across production areas Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used to mix and process concrete-based raw materials Assist with testing and inspecting raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards Work in the machine operation department mixing bulk materials according to formulas Support finishing operations by handling products being painted, sealed, or stained Help palletize and prepare finished goods for shipment in the shipping/receiving department Work safely around moving equipment, forklifts, and heavy machinery Maintain clean, organized work areas and clean around production lines as needed Stand, walk, or sit throughout 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule Lift 35+ lbs regularly and crawl under/around machinery when required Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a Zero Harm safety culture Maintain reliable attendance and support daily production goals What We're Looking For Ideally 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or working with large machinery Proven success in a production, industrial, or business support crew environment Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures Solid work history showing reliability, growth, and consistent performance Ability to stand, walk, or sit for 12-hour shifts Comfortable working in wet, messy, humid environments around bulk raw materials Able to lift 35+ lbs regularly and crawl under/around equipment Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and monitor production equipment Preferred Experience Experience in paper mills, heavy industrial manufacturing, or construction materials Experience with large-scale production equipment or heavy labor environments At least 6+ months of tenure with a single employer Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production and safety protocols Team-oriented mindset with willingness to complete structured safety training Why You'll Want to Work Here Stable, established manufacturing operation with long-term career potential Strong Zero Harm safety culture and a dedicated safety training program Exposure to multiple departments: machine operation, finishing, and shipping Rotating 2-2-3 schedule provides extended blocks of time off while maintaining full-time hours Direct placement opportunity with consistent work and growth potential Work Environment This is a large-scale industrial facility producing concrete-based building materials. You'll work around bulk raw materials, moving equipment, and heavy machinery in wet, messy, and very humid conditions. The role requires frequent lifting of 35+ lbs, continuous standing and walking during 12-hour shifts, and occasional crawling under and around equipment. Schedule follows a 2-2-3 rotating pattern with: 12-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM 12-hour night shifts: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM New hires complete a one-week safety training program (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM) before transitioning to the rotating schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $26.40/hr.
