Lead / Manager

Rill Foods is seeking a reliable, motivated manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will utilize your experience, leadership, and communication skills to help direct a small team of 4-8 people. You must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines to produce quality products safely and cost-effectively while preserving a positive attitude. You'll be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. We are building a new warehouse and updating our packaging to expand production capabilities. We are looking for a long-term employee to grow with us over the next three years and beyond. This is a working management position. The role includes approximately 20-25 hours of hands-on production work per week, with the remaining 15-20 hours focused on planning, ordering, training, equipment preparation, warehouse upkeep, and improving production procedures . The manager's role is to keep production organized and running smoothly, helping the team stay focused on their work even when unexpected challenges arise. What You'll Do Production Leadership Oversee production from start to finish, including scheduling, task assignment, and resource allocation Lead short daily check-ins to review production goals and address issues early Ensure products are produced safely, accurately, and on schedule Operations & Planning Coordinate production runs and prepare equipment and materials Monitor ingredient and packaging inventory and place supply orders Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and production spaces Team Development Train new employees and support staff in learning production procedures Ensure team members follow SOPs and safety standards Provide clear communication and feedback to keep the team aligned Hands-On Production Help maintain a steady pace and step in wherever needed to keep things moving Identify operational challenges and work toward practical solutions Adjust plans when needed to keep production moving and deadlines on track Work closely with management to improve processes as the company grows What We're Looking For 2+ years experience in a leadership role Experience working independently without direct supervision At least 2 years of experience in food preparation, food production, or manufacturing Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to remain level-headed, think clearly, and solve problems during busy production days Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for much of the workday We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing good work, supports their team, and is interested in helping build strong systems as the company grows.
