Job Title:
Manufacturing Associate Job Description The Manufacturing Associate - Mechanical assembles electrical box units of various sizes using hand and power tools in a clean, lean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on mechanical assembly, wire pulling, and door installation while following established processes and quality standards. You will work on your feet throughout the shift and contribute to the production of high-quality electronic products for a wide range of industries. Responsibilities Assemble electrical box units of various sizes using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, and crimpers. Pull and route wires according to specifications and assembly instructions. Install doors and other mechanical components on electrical box assemblies. Use mechanical aptitude to interpret basic assembly instructions and complete builds accurately. Perform mechanical assembly tasks consistently and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and proper fit of components before moving assemblies to the next stage. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with lean manufacturing principles. Stand, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift to complete assembly tasks. Lift and move components and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Collaborate with team members and share ideas to improve efficiency and assembly processes. Essential Skills Proven experience using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers, and similar equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly or put items together, such as furniture, computers, cars, or appliances. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and components accurately and safely. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods during the shift. Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily work activities. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality assemblies. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for assembly tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production work experience. On-the-job assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and organized work practices. Work is performed on the production floor around electronic and mechanical assemblies, with occasional exposure to a paint-like smell in certain areas. Employees spend most of the shift on their feet, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching while handling components and tools. The company provides a structured, process-driven setting that supports efficient production and quality output across a broad range of electronic design, manufacturing, and test activities serving industries from consumer products to highly technical and regulated sectors such as medical and aviation/space and defense. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
