POSITION SUMMARY
Fulfill the daily production demands of a Vancouver manufacturing facility as indicated by either the production schedule and/or leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply to all Vancouver and corporate safety rules, regulations, and policies. Prep for packaging activities, operate packaging equipment in compliance with SOPS, GMPs, ISO/FSSC/HACCP and safety guidelines and requirements. Clean up and maintenance of plant, plant grounds and equipment. Document all required data for process operation, testing, cleaning and sanitation activities, (manually and electronically). Restock supplies, operate forklift and pallet jack, load/unload delivery trucks, recycle product and prepare product. Understand and comply with all production quality system SOPs and documents, safety policies and SDS. Work with operation team to increase knowledge of process and equipment operation and to assume more Operator II responsibilities and duties as appropriate. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and a minimum 1 year in manufacturing environment. Must have or be able to obtain forklift operators permit. Must have strong work ethic; be detail oriented; be able to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Demonstrable mechanical ability and mathematical skills. Ability to read, understand and interpret charts, graphs, documents, manuals, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Exposure to powder and heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment. Position may require walking and standing long periods; reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to handle materials. Position requires frequent moving of approximately 50 pounds. Working in a non-HVAC building, exposure to seasonal & operational impacted temperatures.
