Description:
Production Sizer Operators will Develop an in-depth understanding of the production capabilities of all production lines, including but not limited to, capacity utilization at certain stages, shift staffing, maintenance, sales instructions, quality impacts, etc. The operator position requires development and understanding of all Apple and Cherry variety, size, grade, box weight and packages. Operators will need to understand fruit descriptions and be able to read sales desk packing instructions. Essential Functions Must be able to follow and enforce all safety and operational standards in place by Monson Fruit. See something say something mindset. Must follow and enforce GMP's and food safety rules. Anyone as a manager has the ability to enforce and reprimand employees for not following GMP's Responsible for training new employees. Monson Fruit leads will work with employees in a positive and respectful manner. Help organize crews with their direct supervisor and manage the team's workload. Ability to trouble shout packing line break downs and develop a basic understanding of PLC/VFD logic to assist the maintenance department in identifying equipment issues. Responsible for start-up, Calibration and Maintain Sizing Equipment by assisting maintenance PM Schedule for all sizing equipment. Have a in-depth understanding of how production works and capable of answering grower questions if they arise.
Requirements:
Industry knowledge— Understanding grades, sizes, varieties, packages, and box weights. Degree— Bachelor or minimum 3 yrs. experience with Compac Spectrum or Invision equipment or similar system Professional Attitude— Able to work independently and with others. Self-Starter— Identifies what needs to be done and formulates a plan of action. Flexible Schedule— Willing and able to work either shift with a variable hour and schedule depending on the season and commodity. Team player— Willing and able to learn and train from and with others. Salaried can be adjusted after/within a probatory period of no more than 90 days (about 3 months). Also, DOE.
