Job Title:
Production Operator - 1st Shift Job Description The Production Operator - 1st Shift plays a key role in a light industrial, general assembly environment by performing testing, inspection, light assembly, and packaging tasks. This full-time position follows a four-day workweek on first shift and focuses on consistent, quality production of small components with clearly defined performance metrics. Responsibilities Operate production equipment and perform light machine operation in a safe and efficient manner. Carry out light assembly tasks, such as connecting small components by hand, comparable to fitting one hose into another. Perform testing and inspection of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Complete packaging of finished products according to established procedures and requirements. Meet daily and weekly production metrics, including targets for the number of pieces assembled. Lift and handle components weighing up to approximately 10-15 pounds throughout the shift. Use basic hand tools safely and correctly to support assembly and production activities. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a safety-focused, state-of-the-art facility. Maintain a clean and organized work area in a clean, controlled production environment. Essential Skills Experience in production, assembly, or general labor in a light industrial or general assembly setting. Ability to perform repetitive hand assembly tasks with attention to detail and consistency. Comfort lifting and handling items up to approximately 10-15 pounds throughout the shift. Ability to stand for extended periods during a 10-hour shift. Basic proficiency with hand tools and the ability to perform simple mechanical tasks, such as changing a tire. Strong reliability, including consistent attendance and adherence to a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Capacity to meet defined production metrics and work at a steady, efficient pace. Willingness to follow safety protocols and work in a safety-focused environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Appleton, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
