Summary of Role The Production Specialist operates machinery, packages, assembles, and kits items during the production process to meet customer requirements. This role ensures that production deadlines are met while observing safety and quality standards. The Specialist creates and maintains relationships with internal customers. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain machinery, reporting any machinery issues to management.
  • Safely and accurately pick, package, assemble, and kit items according to documents or other work orders.
  • May use the winder; cutting, packaging, and swagging equipment; forklift; and stand lift trucks.
  • Read routing information and perform work as assigned by the lead or manager.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards.
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Read blueprints and use measuring equipment/tools.
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Verify and find inventory using ERP.
  • Report any non-conformance to the Quality Manager.
  • Participate in internal/external audits.
Qualifications Education:
HS diploma or equivalent
Experience/Knowledge:
Warehouse experience helpful
Skills/Competencies:
o Excellent team and interpersonal skills including collaborating with internal and external customers at all levels o Basic math and reading skills o Basic computer skills o Able to comply with all safety guidelines o Must be or become forklift certified o Reliable and punctual; able to prioritize duties o Positive, professional attitude with the ability to learn quickly o Attention to detail and ability to focus o Driven, with the ability to work independently and as a team member o Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills Physical Demands
    Schedule--Monday-Thursday:
    7 AM to 4
    PM, Friday:
    7 AM to 1 PM
    • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, walking and reaching.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., or more with assistance.
    • Comfortable working in a changing and busy environment.
    • May be required to drive forklift and operate equipment such as motorized lift table, cutting equipment, etc.
    • Primarily works in a warehouse with usual noise levels.
    • Able to work overtime as needed.
    • Must have own reliable transportation
