Job Description

La Crosse Milling Company is seeking dependable and safety-focused Production Workers to join our manufacturing team. Openings are available on all three shifts, including 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Sackers and 2nd Shift Bulk Loaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Production Responsibilities
  • Follow all Company safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor product quality and report concerns immediately
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Complete required production and quality documentation
  • Assist with sanitation and cleanup duties as assigned
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures Sacker Responsibilities (1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift)
  • Package finished product into bags or containers according to specifications
  • Monitor bag weights, seals, labels, and product appearance
  • Stack, palletize, and wrap finished product
  • Supply packaging materials to production lines
  • Keep production areas clean and free of hazards Bulk Loader Responsibilities (2nd Shift)
  • Load bulk trailers and railcars accurately and efficiently
  • Verify product type, lot information, and shipping requirements
  • Inspect trailers prior to loading
  • Complete loading and shipping documentation
  • Maintain communication with production and warehouse personnel
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and loading procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing or food production experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Forklift experience is a plus for certain positions
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels common in a grain handling and food production facility
  • Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, hair restraints, and safety footwear
