Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Act as backup to the Shift Supervisor when needed. Train and support Line Operators, Machine Technicians, and temporary staff. Coordinate breaks, coverage, and daily workflow. Promote a safe, collaborative, and improvement-focused work environment. Operate and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated packaging lines, including robotics and labeling systems. Support manual and automated packaging and visual inspection activities. Assist with inventory handling, rework, and general production needs. Conduct line startup checks, in-process inspections, and basic lab testing. Document and report quality results, defects, and deviations. Support rework processes and review product specifications. Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards. Participate in 6S and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify defects and support corrective actions. Help improve quality tracking tools and production processes. Support additional operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+. 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on quality or production support. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and process issues. Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, gauges, visual inspection). Ability to read and follow written specifications and instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with tablets or digital systems preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
